Save these people!
There ia a lot that the leadership can and should do to ensure that Tanzanians live the better life they deserve. There is salvation in the mineral wealth that is being abused through greedy contracts signed by our leadership! Recall in the 1960s, Botswana was a very poor country with the economy predominantly of hunters and gatherers. After discovery of minerals wealth the leadership defied all dictates of the so called foreign investors who even threatened to ensure that Botswana will have no outlet for its diamonds. What happened? The leadership said to hell; and demanded that Tswanas must be in the deep shafts, in the strong room and at the sale outlets! !, the Govt must have significant share, the investors on top of that pay royalty, etc. The investors never left todate ! Chevez and the American investors? Zambia and its Copper? Nothing like any of these in Tanzania. We give this advice to the government and we are met with a deaf ear and branded "theorist". IT IS OUR DUTY TO KEEP SHOUTING AND WE BELIEVE ONE DAY WE WILL GET A LISTENING EAR. Follow closely what is happening now in the mineral sector, partly an influence of our "shouting" By Prof Mbelle

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea? For $100 million
Chelsea are preparing to launch an audacious €100 million bid for Real Madrid stars RONALDO and Gonazalo Higuain, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.Cristiano
Ronaldo became the fastest player to reach 100 league goals in Spain
with a brace against Real Sociedad on Saturday night
While the Blues' strikers have struggled for goals this season - sturridge, drogba and torres scoring just 26 between them in all competitions - Ronaldo has scored 45 goals by himself to help Real to a six-point lead over Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
And with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich thought to be planning a major squad overhaul this summer, Ronaldo and team-mate Higuain are both believed to top the list of players he wants to lead a Stamford Bridge revolution.
The Daily Telegraph reports that a potential £82.3 million move for the Real pair could depend on mourinho returning to manage the Blues, as he would need to persuade the players to leave the Bernabeu.
Should Mourinho not come back to Chelsea, the newspaper claims that Abramovich will turn his attentions to Napoli duo Cavani and Lavezzi who could reportedly be prised away from the Italian side for a fee of €70 million (58.5 million).
If the Blues fail to qualify for the Champions League they may have to re-assess their transfer options, though, as it would certainly adversely affect their ability to attract players of the quality of Ronaldo, Higuain, Lavezzi and Cavani.
Ronaldo bagged a brace for Real at the weekend as the Primera Division leaders beat Real Sociedad 5-1 on Saturday, the Portuguese forward becoming the fastest player to reach 100 league goals in Spain as he took his total for the club to 101 goals in just 92 league games.

Safe Ways to Help Kids Lose Weight
Writing for the April 2012 "Shape" issue of VOGUE, mom Dara-Lynn Weiss touches on many of the obstacles facing parents who try to help their kids achieve a healthy weight. When Weiss's daughter, Bea, was seven, her pediatrician diagnosed her as seriously overweight. With the help of a childhood-obesity specialist, Weiss put her on a diet. Other parents were shocked at the idea of restricting a child's eating and even her daughter's grand parents (who eventually came around) begged to give her larger servings of pasta and junk food. Weiss writes, "Everyone supports the mission but no one seems to approve of my methods." Not to mention her daughter, who balked and whined about taking her lunch to school and missing out on the processed treats that other children were allowed to eat.
Weiss recounts that as part of the process, she had address her own issues around food. She admits to having tried every kind of diet including raw food and juice fasting and once "begging a doctor friend to score me a prescription of fen-phen"-after it had been found to have serious side effects. She also acknowledges her approach to her child's nutrition before she went on a supervised eating plan had been haphazard and inconsistent.
After a year of struggle, her daughter did lose sixteen pounds and grew two inches, but Weiss writes, "For Bea, the achievement is bittersweet…Only time will tell if my early intervention saved her from a life of preoccupation with her weight, or drove her to it." Her story underscores just how complicated it can be for families of obese and overweight children. "Mom and dad need to be comfortable with their own body image to help kids instill good eating habits," Amy Jamieson-Petonic, RD, national spokesperson for the academy of nutrition and dietetics tells Shine. She points out that "wellness doesn't happen in a vacuum" and emphasizes that living a healthy lifestyle is a family affair.
Melinda Johnson, RD, also of the Academy, recommends that families should focus more on getting healthy than on losing weight. "A seven year-old with extra weight is showing symptoms of an unhealthy diet," Johnson tells Shine. "There is a huge concern that when we focus too much on weight we might be encouraging disordered eating." Johnson warns that making derogatory comments about your kid's appearance or feeding them differently than their siblings can create additional problems.
What's a parent to do? Fortunately, according to Johnson, most overweight kids who start eating nutritious food and increase their activity level will grow naturally toward a normal weight for their genetics. Johnson and Jamieson-Petonic offer these tips for getting your family on track.
If you think your child is overweight or obese, it's important to enlist your pediatrician's support and guidance. A registered dietician can also help.
Don't expect your child to completely avoid junk food. "One piece of birthday cake never made anyone fat," says Johnson. Help children learn to make good choices about healthy food and having the occasional indulgence.
Feature nutritious food, such as a bowl of fruit or whole grain crackers and hummus, on the counter. Stow the junk food in cupboards.
Don't eat in front of the television. This can lead to the mindless consumption of empty calories.
Research shows that kids who eat meals with their parents tend to have healthier weights, higher self-esteem, and do better in school. It doesn't always have to be dinner-breakfast or lunch counts.
Eat the way you want your child to eat. Modeled behavior is a powerful tool. Emphasize low fat dairy, fruits, vegetables, beans, lean meats, and whole grains.
Structure your meals. Grazing all day can pile on calories. Kids need to get in touch with their hunger cues and learn to eat when they are hungry, not just snack.
Cutting down on screen time helps children be more active. After a set amount of time, turn off electronics and ask kids to go and play.
Its great if kids enjoy sports but if they don't, try going for family walks or bike rides. You can also garden together, play at the park, or walk the dog. Activities should be enjoyable, not punishing.
Let kids help with shopping and cooking. They will be more likely to try new foods if they are involved in their preparation.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics website, etright.org has a wealth of information about healthy eating for families.

Mancini 'laughs off' Fergie jibe!!!!
Roberto Mancini: Manchester City manager has laughed off Sir Alex Ferguson's comments, says David Platt
David Platt says Roberto Mancini has laughed
off comments from Sir Alex Ferguson and has dismissed concerns the
Manchester City manager is feeling the pressure.
City returned to the top of the Premier League table on goal difference on Saturday after a 1-1 draw at stoke city but mancini did not speak to the media after the game. The build-up to the match had featured ferguson responding to claims from former City midfielder patrick vieira that United had shown 'weakness' in bringing scholes out of retirement.
Ferguson suggested that City, meanwhile, had been 'desperate' in calling on tevez again after Mancini had previously hinted that the Argentine would not play for the club again.
"As regards the pressure on him,
it's not about whether he handles the pressure so much as whether the
players go out and get the results."

Somali refugees killed by Mogadishu mortars
About
six people have been killed in Somalia after mortars landed on a
refugee camp near the presidential palace in Mogadishu, officials say.
A family of four were reportedly among those killed when a
mortar landed on their shack - a girl of seven is said to be the only
survivor.Islamist group al-Shabab said it had fired more than a dozen mortars.
The al-Qaeda-linked group controls many southern areas but is under attack on a number of fronts.
Ethiopia has sent troops from the west and Kenya from the south, while al-Shabab was forced out of Mogadishu last year.
"A father, mother and two of their children have all died after a mortar shell smashed into their hut, and another round killed two other civilians," witness Abdiwahid Mohamed told AFP.
Paddy Ankunda, a spokesman for the African Union force supporting the UN-backed government, told Reuters news agency that about six civilians had been killed but no mortars had landed in the presidential palace.
Although al-Shabab no longer controls any Mogadishu districts, it stages frequent attacks on the city.
Last week, five people were killed when a bomber blew himself up near the presidential palace.
The government only controls the capital but last week started its first advance beyond the city limits.
The country has been racked by fighting since its last effective national government was toppled 21 years ago.

George Clooney Arrested in Sudan Protest
George Clooney was arrested Friday for participating in a staged protest outside the Sudanese embassy in Washington, D.C., organized to bring attention to that country's president, Omar al-Bashir, provoking a crisis with his blockade of humanitarian aide.
Regarding the situation, Clooney, 50, had said earlier in interviews that if steps were not taken in the next three to four months, "We're going to have a real humanitarian disaster." He also said he is impressed with President Barack Obama's personal engagement on the situation in Sudan. On Wednesday, the actor testified before Congress about the "campaign of murder" in Sudan.
As he was being taken away Friday morning, after authorities warned him three times to leave, Clooney said, "This is for the government in Khartoum to stop randomly killing its own innocent men, women and children. Stop raping them and stop starving them. That's all we ask," reports USA Today.
Handcuffed and arrested along with him were his father, journalist Nick Clooney; U.S. Rep. Jim Moran (Dem.) of Virginia; NAACP President Ben Jealous, among others, reports the Associated Press. They were then placed in a Secret Service van.
Max Milien, spokesman for the Secret Service, told PEOPLE the actor was being cooperative. "He's being charged currently with disorderly crossing of a police line, which is a misdemeanor and he will be transported to the second district of the Metropolitan Police Department for processing," Milien said.
A rep for the actor released a statement after the arrest, stating, "They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world."
The arrest was not unexpected, Earlier in the day, The Washington Post reported, "By standing on the embassy's private property, they're likely to get cuffed, arrested and charged."
Clooney was eventually released Friday afternoon.

Is Bobbi Kristina Brown Engaged to 'Adopted Brother'?
Just a little over a month after Houston died, Bobbi Kristina Brown, 19, was spotted with a ring on her engagement finger following days of very public PDA with Nick Gordon.
One source tells PEOPLE, "Yes, they are engaged, but the family is trying to coax her away from it. "
Another source says, "Nick asked Krissi about a week ago to marry him" and that she's wearing a ring that once belonged to her mom. But the source doesn't know if Brown said yes.
The source does believe that Brown's grandmother, Cissy Houston, "is worried."
Brown and Gordon, 22, have been spotted getting affectionate in public recently, sharing kisses and holding hands while running errands in Atlanta.
The two have been living together in Houston's house and have known each other for years. Gordon reportedly was taken in by Houston more than a decade ago and had been living with the family in her Atlanta home.
There is no evidence, however, he was ever legally adopted by Houston, who
died on feb.11 at age of 48
A close family friend hinted at their relationship, though, telling PEOPLE, "I have always felt there was some interest beyond a platonic interest in each other."

George Clooney Releasing New Line Of Tequila
Ever wonder what george clooney drinks to get drunk? It's a tequila called Casamigos and soon he's gonna start selling it!
The Oscar winner has joined forces with cindy crawford's restaurateur husband Rande Gerber to launch a new line of tequila and, according to sources, two pair plans on "making the liquor available to all."
Not exactly sure what what means, but we hope that implies it will be affordable and NOT that they plan on selling it to minors! LOL!
When talking about his new business venture, the actor told sources:
"I don’t think we’re going to be following all the rules. We know we have a product we love and we drink, and other people will enjoy. The product speaks for itself."We'll give it a shot. Or two. Or three. Will U?

Lady Gaga Pulls the Plug on Interviews: WTH?!
Lady Gaga always creates so much buzz with her fashion statements and
outspoken views, so why is she pulling the plug on interviews for the
time being?
In an upcoming interview with Oprah, the star reveals that she won't be giving interviews for the foreseeable future as she is taking a self-imposed vow of silence.
We don't know what to say either.
Gaga appears on Oprah's Next Chapter this Sunday, and tells Winfrey:
"Other than this interview, i do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time... No press, no TV. If my mom calls and says, ‘Did you hear about...' I shut it all off."
Those gaga's hermaphrodite rumors can be tough on a parent.
She goes on to admit that she doesn't care much for media coverage of her, saying, "I don't read a damn thing." Still, it's a dramatic about-face for the music icon.
Her meteoric rise has been powered by an all-Gaga-all-the-time PR blitz. Of course, this doesn't mean she'll be invisible, per se, given her bombastic live shows.
And Tweeting. She just became the first person to nab 20 millions followers on twiterwhich means we can always expect Gaga news ... in 140 characters or less.
