Finally the winner for East Arumeru parliamentary by -election has been declared this morning. Mr. Joshua Nassari the candidate from Chadema has been announced as the winner by Arumeru East returning officer, Mr. Trasence Kagenzi. According to Mr. Kagenzi Chadema through its candidate they got 32672 votes while CCm candidate Mr. Sioi Sumari got 26,757.
The stiff competitions was between two parties Chadema and CCM while other five candidates registered a poor performance.
Eight candidates from eight parties were compete for the seat that fell vacant following the death of Mr. Jeremia Sumari in January this year. These parties were, Chadema, CCM, TLP, DP, UPDP, AFP, SAU and NRA.
