10 Signs a Man is in Love

Unlike women, who are very comfortable expressing their feelings, men in general are very stingy in terms of letting out how they feel. That’s why, many women are left wondering whether the man they are dating is in love with them or is he around just to have fun and a good time. So, if you find yourself in this situation, given below are some signs displayed by men when they are in love, to help you figure out where you stand vis-a-vis your relationship. Scroll down to know about the signs a man is in love…

10 Signs a Man is in Love
Introduces you To Everybody
One of the surest signs a man is in love with a woman is when he introduces her to his friends, colleagues, family and whoever cares to listen. It is a man’s way of marking his “territory”, of telling others that the woman is “taken”.

Has Eyes only For you
It is said that eyes speak more than words. It holds so true for the man in love! When a man is in love, he can not take his eyes off the woman. Men are visual creatures so when they have the woman they desire in front of them, they can not help but stare! Of course, if the woman notices or looks back, they are smart enough to divert their glances. If you find the man you are dating displaying this, one of the physical signs that a man is in love, it means you have him hook, line and sinker!

Pays Attention to You
Another sign that a man is in love with you is, if you find him listening and paying attention to whatever you say. If your man tries to know more and more about you, if he remembers your likes and dislikes, it shows he is falling in love.

Bares His Heart to You
One of the signs that a man is in love is when he is not afraid to be emotionally vulnerable in front of the woman. Does your man share his fears and weaknesses with you? Do you feel that he is very comfortable sharing his thoughts and feelings with you? If yes, it shows that he trusts and loves you. You may read more on signs of being in love. Men are not very communicative when it comes to talking about how they feel. And if he is sharing his feelings with you, it show that you are special to him!

Is Protective of You
Do you find your man always concerned about your well-being? If you have been out late at night, does he make it a point to drop you off home? If you are in some kind of trouble, does he leave his friends, work, everything, to be by your side? If you answered in affirmative for all these questions, it shows that the man you are dating is for keeps!

Makes you Happy
If you are thinking, “how to know if he loves you?”, one of the surest signs is that he will do anything under the sun to make you happy. He will go with you for shopping even though he hates the very thought! He will forgo buying the latest gadget but will make sure that you get what you want! He will throw surprises at you by taking you out on unplanned trips, in short he will do anything and everything to see a smile on your face!

Stays in Touch
Does your man call you or text you when you are in college or office, just to see how your day is going? Does he make it a point to meet you up often, even when he is busy at work? A man in love always maintains contact or tries to be in proximity with his lady-love. If your man is doing the same, it shows he is in love!

Is Committed
Men in love will not do anything to hurt their woman. They will respect her, care for her and will be faithful. So, if your man is dating you exclusively, has never cheated on you and when talking of his future, includes you in it, it shows that he is very serious about his relationship with you.

Lets You Have Your Way
If the man you are dating gives in to all your wishes, if he does not mind you being bossy or deciding on most of the things, including the furniture of his house, how you both will spend the weekend, etc, it shows that he likes the changes that you initiate in his life!

Says “I Love You” Umpteen Times
A man in love is not afraid to tell it to the woman. So, if your man calls you up in the middle of the night and says he loves you, if in the middle of watching a movie he says he loves you, if while driving the car he tells you he loves you, if he repeats this over and over again, it shows that he has deep feelings for you!
After going through the “signs that a man is in love” given above, you must have gauged what your man’s feeling are towards you. Here I would advise, do not just go by these signs, ask yourself, what does your gut feeling say? If you feel that he is genuine and that he cares and loves you like no one else, you can consider taking the relationship one step further with him. However, if your heart tells you to “wait and watch”, do not ignore it! Take some more time in knowing him. After all, you deserve the best in love and life!

kwa vitu hivi, huyo kwako anataka kua zaidi ya rafiki!!!!!!!

Look for Signals
After you’ve realized that you might be more than friends, the next step is to figure out if this feeling is reciprocated. If you are observant, you may pick up on some unintentional signals that may indicate your friend feels the same way and may be open to dating.
Think about how your friend talks about potential romantic partners: Does he refuse to talk about it with you, or is he vague? Conversely, does he talk about women he might date more than he did at the beginning of your friendship? Some people will either avoid the subject or overcompensate if they realize they have romantic feelings for a friend and they aren’t sure how to proceed.
Be on the lookout for how often your friend asks you about your love life. If they ask you lots of questions and seem overly curious, this may be a sign that your friend might think of you as more than friend. Also, if your friend asks you what you’re attracted to or wants to know about each and every relationship you’ve had, this could also be a major sign they like you.
How does your friend act when you are dating anyone else? Are they jealous? Do they think that no one is good enough for you? After all, if they want to be with you, it makes sense they’d see red when thinking or talking about someone you’re dating. In the past, has your friend encouraged you to end things if you brought up any problems you had with a dating partner? They may have given advice that any friend would give, but look back on the tone of the conversation.
Sending a Response
You shouldn’t assume that just because your friend gives you a hug or calls you during the week that they are interested. Those kinds of signals can help you decide whether or not to take the plunge, but they are never sure bets. Because of this, you want to proceed with caution before asking your friend out.
If you think your friend does like you in a romantic way, try flirting with them. If they flirt back, this could be a sign that things will heat up in the future. Touch their arm or hand lightly in conversation and gauge their reaction. Also, try spending more time with them in general. Invite them over to watch a television show, go on coffee dates and try talking on the phone, e-mailing or texting them more than you have in the past. If your friend eagerly reciprocates, things might fall into place.
Try dressing up when you’re around your friend. This doesn’t mean you should wear a tux or a low-cut dress to a casual coffee date, but it involves taking more care with your own appearance. A more polished look could encourage your friend to see you in a new light.
Broaching the Subject
You may think your feelings are obvious, but your friend may be oblivious. At some point, you will have to bring up the subject, and you must be clear about your intentions and your feelings. If you don’t say that you have romantic feelings, your friend wind up confused.
After you’ve sent your own signals, know that the timing of your communication has to be right. Don’t ask your friend out if they’ve only just broken up with their significant other. You don’t want to be anyone’s rebound. Instead, wait a few months to make sure that the feelings are still there. Once you are confident that there’s no rebound potential, ask your friend out when the two of you are already alone and having a good time together.
When you ask your friend out, know where you want to go. A plan will help your friend realize that you are serious and not on the rebound. The plus side to asking out a friend is that you already know your friend and what your friend likes to do. If your friend says yes, then the next challenge is seeing if the two of you work as a couple.
If Your Friend Turns You Down
There’s always a chance that your friend might not think of you in the same way. Your friend might not be attracted to you, or they may have been burned when they dated another friend, and they would much rather keep your relationship the way it is. If this happens, you want to take special care with how you react to this news. Do not run away or keep your distance. Though things might be a bit awkward, if you work through this, you can stay friends.Stay polite and respectful the next time you see your friend. Remember that they may not want to risk losing your friendship. Also be careful when talking about your friend with mutual friends. If you are upset that you were turned down, don’t gossip about your friend because it will get back to them, and you’ll lose the friendship.

Make Eyes Appear Larger With These Simple Makeup Tips

  • Curl Your Lashes- One of the easiest secrets to utilizing eye makeup routine to correctly make your eyes look larger is to curl your eyelashes. It’s important you curl your lashes BEFORE you apply the mascara! If you forget to do it before applying your dark mascara, be sure to wait until the mascara has dried completely and then go ahead and curl them. If you find throughout the day your lashes aren’t as curled as they were in the morning when you first applied your makeup, you can always re-curl them later in the day since your mascara will be very dry by then.
  • Apply Mascara on Your Bottom Lashes- Many women think they don’t need mascara on their bottom eye lashes. However, most makeup experts believe adding mascara to the lower lashes can help to enlarge their appearance. The trick is to know how much to use on those bottom lashes! Start by applying the mascara to the top lashes. Then, with whatever is left on your brush (without redipping it into the mascara formula), apply it to the lower lashes. Hold your brush vertically and sweep it back and forth over the lower lashes to get the right look.
  • False Lashes for Evening- If you want to go for a dramatic dark night time effect, you may want to try your hand at false lashes. Most celebrities do use false lashes for big events. If you know how to do the lash application properly, they can be beautiful and natural. Many larger department stores can help you learn how to apply lashes at one of their cosmetics and beauty products counters but they are also available at drugstores. Be sure to practice before your big event. You can also remember to use scissors to trim them (before applying them) if they are too long.
  • Use White Eye Liner in the Right Places- Another technique to use involves the creamy white eye liner pencil. This can help you get a doe-eyed style that will brighten and widen your eye appearance. To get this look, simply line the lower inside of your lids with the creamy white eye pencil. Make sure to use a soft pencil to lessen the irritaion on your lid. You can find great liners from Sephora, Loreal or Estee Lauder. To further brighten your eye area, use this soft color also on the inside corner of both the upper and lower lids.
  • Apply Highlight Eye Shadow- If you don’t like the idea of the white shade of liner, you can also use a platinum highlighter to open up the eye area. Simply apply your shadow as usual and then use the highlighter on small dots along your browbone just below your eyebrow. Blend it in with the shadow in that area, apply it to the inner corners of the eyes and enjoy your new look.
  • Keep Eye Brows Plucked & Well Shaped – For larger appearing eyes, you must also pay attention to your brows. Be sure you manicure them well. It’s a great idea to visit a professional to get your brows waxed, tweezed or threaded. A pro can help you shape them properly. In between pro visits you can maintain them by tweezing. If you have a slight arch to your brows, you will find your eyes look larger.

How To Be an Adorable Woman?

I am sure by now you’ve heard different version of what draws men towards woman. In your head, you think that to be an adorable woman men can’t resist you have to look really beautiful. Physical appearance alone does not attract men. While this may assist in starting something, it is short-term. Looks usually fades off and then men get bored and more on to the next woman. So what do you have to do to capture his heart for good and be the adorable woman he wishes to have a committed relationship with?
Do you know any woman who manages to attract men like bees to honey? What does she have that you don’t? Sometimes, I can’t believe how these women find such nice guys. The woman itself is not at all that pretty and the guy would be real handsome. Often I wonder, “what does this guy see in her? surely, he could do better than that!”
At the end of the day, everyone wants to be happy. To sustain happiness long-term, men find certain qualities in a woman appealing.
Be positive and stop nagging
We come across many women who complain from the time they wake up. Men don’t like eternal nagging and complaining. Everyone likes to spend time with a more cheerful and full of life person.
That doesn’t mean you bury your problems or pretend like they don’t exist. It’s how your outlook to problems and how you carry yourself when problems are affecting you. So remember, if you have a happy and friendly outlook men will find you approachable.
Less talk more listening
We women are born to talk. We want to talk about feelings, analyze certain things and again talk about it! Within a group of men, it’s no surprise to see the woman often talking. So when guy finds a laid back woman, who will really listen to what the he has to say, he is impressed naturally!
Put effort into how you look
Need I say that men like to look at women who are feminine and well-groomed. I don’t know how they manage it but some women can look and small fresh even if the weather is hot outside!
So take good care of you body and appearance. Don’t just do it because you want to get a man’s attention. Believe me when I say that you feel good and will get a confidence boost when you know and feel, you look good. That confidence goes a long way unknowingly, and men like it when they see a confident woman.

Do you want to do you really want to be an adorable woman men can’t resist? It’s not impossible.

Giggs' golden ambitions

Ryan Giggs: Excited to be an Olympian and targeting a gold medal
As Ryan Giggs prepares to lead Team GB at the Olympics, he claims a gold medal would be comparable to his UEFA Champions League wins.
The MAN U  midfielder has a vast collection of honours including 12 Premier League titles and two Champions League medals.
But the 38-year-old has never played in a major international finals with Wales and is relishing the thought of leading out Team GB against Senegal at his beloved  Old Trafford on Thursday.
"As a footballer, you don't start out in your career hoping to win the Olympics. You want to win leagues, FA Cups and European Cups," said  Giggs
"I'm still disappointed I never got to a major finals with Wales, but we weren't good enough to get to a European Championships or  World Cup
"But to get the chance to play in a tournament at such a late stage of my career is one I'm excited about and really looking forward to.
"Of course, you want to win every game and win the tournament. We know it's going to be tough, but having seen the quality of our team over the last few weeks, we are hopeful of going a long way.
"An Olympic gold would be up there with my European medals.

Mancini aamua kumsubiri RVP kuamua wapi anaenda...

Robin van Persie: Wanted in Manchester
Roberto Mancini admits Robin van Persie has a difficult decision to make about his future with Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus all battling for his coveted signature.
The Dutchman has made it clear he will not sign a new contract at the Emirates, but  Arsenal have so far not agreed a deal with any of the three clubs to make a bid for his services.
Van Persie too has yet to outline his preferred destination and Mancini understands that it is not an easy decision for the striker, should he be given a straight choice between the three.
"When you talk about  City ,United and Juve, it is difficult for a player to choose between those three clubs," said Mancini from City's pre-season tour in the Far east
"They are all top teams and I've no idea what will happen with him. If we have a chance to take him, we will try because we think he is a top striker.
"For now he is an Arsenal player and I think Arsenal are a top team. It is not easy for  RVP and other players to leave them."

Deschamps named France boss

Didier Deschamps: Captained France to success at the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000

Didier Deschamps has been confirmed as Laurent Blanc's successor as manager of the France national team.
The former Olympique Marseille boss, who captained France to success at the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000, held talks with the French Football Federation in Paris on Saturday.
The FFF has now confirmed his appointment in a statement released on Sunday, with his first match in charge against Uruguay in Le Havre on 15th August.
Deschamps, who has also managed Juventus and Monaco, inherits a troubled squad yet to be punished for their behaviour at Euro 2012.
The FFF are expected to hand out bans to Samir Nasri, Hatem Ben Arfa, Jeremy Menez and Yann M'Vila, having opened up disciplinary proceedings following a string of offenses during the event.
Former Chelsea player Deschamps left Marseille at the beginning of the month, and it was widely anticipated that he'd take up the France post following Blanc's resignation at the hands of their Euro 2012 exit to Spain.

Chelsea FC and Man City target Alexandre Pato:

Chelsea and Manchester City are on alert after Alexandre Pato admitted he could be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

Pato has been on Chelsea's radar for some time, while reports in recent months have suggested Premier League champions Man City are also showing interest in the AC Milan striker.
The 22-year-old is known to be a target for Paris Saint-Germain, with PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti recently confirming he is still keen on signing the forward after seeing a €35million move fall through during the January transfer window, while Bayern Munich are also rumoured to be showing interest.
But the Brazil international, who visited London this week and will return for the Olympics next month, has hinted that he could be open to a move to the Premiership.
"I love English football," said Pato.
"I have friends who play for Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.
"At the moment I have a real taste for playing in the UK, being in London with one month to go before the Olympics.
"My priority is to finish my contract in Milan.
"I have a lot to thank them for and my focus is to continue doing what I do, to bring joy to the fans in Milan and continue my contract until 2014.
"And then afterwards, who knows?"

Liverpool FC target Ibrahim Afellay subject of €7m bid from Lille

Barcelona midfielder Ibrahim Afellay, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool, has reportedly been the subject of a €7million bid from lille
Afellay
Afellay has been on Liverpool's radar for some time and was linked with a move to Anfield throughout 2011 prior to suffering a serious knee injury last September.
Reports just prior to the sacking of Kenny Dalglish last month suggested the Reds were still showing interest in the Netherlands international, who is seen as a possible replacement for Dirk Kuyt, who recently left the club.
But according to Catalan television station TV3, Lille have made the first move in the race to sign the 26-year-old.
The Ligue 1 club have money to spend following the recent sale of Eden Hazard to Chelsea.
Afellay has seen several players move ahead of him in the pecking order at Camp Nou as a result of his lengthy spell on the sidelines.
In addition to Alexis Sanchez, the likes of youngsters Cristian Tello and Isaac Cuenca impressed last season, and it is thought the Dutchman will be allowed to leave the club if the price is right.
Inter Milan and Juventus are also keen.

NANI BINGWA EURO 2012 LEO?

Ni Italy na Spain leo yaaani ni balaaaaaa! leo ndiyo leo asemaye kesho mwongo. Kaa tayaliiiiiiiiiiii

Mancini: Balotelli's time has come

The former Azzurri star has claimed that not only did he know that the enigmatic striker would eventually prove his worth, but also that he would score twice against the Germans

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has heaped praise on Mario Balotelli after his charge's stunning double in Italy's 2-1 Euro 2012 semifinal success over Germany on Thursday.
Balotelli has long been considered an enfant terrible because of his propensity for getting into trouble on and off the field. However, Mancini, who coached the striker at Inter and then signed him for City, never lost hope that the 21-year-old would grow up and realize his potential.

"I'm really happy for him," the Italian coach told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "An adjective? Extraordinary. It's the moment that he can pass from being a good player to a great player.

"And against Spain in the final, I expect that he will carry the team. The moment of his consecration has arrived."

Mancini also claimed that he knew Balotelli would net a double against Germany, though he was disappointed that the forward removed his shirt after his second strike, thus earning himself a booking.

"I was sure that Mario would score two goals; I felt it," the former Azzurri international stated. "I thought it was his night and that he would make a difference.

"What did I think after the second goal? That he would have been able to score another. But it was a shame that he took off his shirt. He should not have gotten himself booked."
Goal

Ahead of the Euro 2012 final between Spain and Italy, rates of the teams' players and coaches out of 10.

Andres Iniesta and Andrea Pirlo have been Euro 2012's outstanding players
The marks we have handed to the players we expect to take to the field in Kiev reflect their performances at Euro 2012 so far, rather than their overall ability or quality.
SPAIN
Manager: Vicente del Bosque - 6
It may seem somewhat perverse to award a rather low mark to a coach who has taken his side to the final, but that is the minimum requirement for a Spain side who have actually looked unconvincing at times. But for a save from Iker Casillas against Croatia they could have been eliminated at the group stage and they had to endure penalties to see off Portugal in the semi-final. Del Bosque's tactics in attack have also been uncertain, with a major tournament arguably not the best place to suddenly start playing Cesc Fabregas as a number nine. Meanwhile, choosing Alvaro Negredo for the position against Portugal was downright bizarre.
GK: Iker Casillas - 8
Casillas has spent large spells of Euro 2012 as a passive observer watching Spain dominate possession ahead of him, yet it is a mark of his ability that when suddenly called upon he has been up to the task. This was perfectly demonstrated when he made a fine save from Ivan Rakitic's header against Croatia and Spain's captain has been largely impeccable, conceding only once in five games at the tournament.
RB: Alvaro Arbeloa - 6
The Real Madrid defender found himself in the starting XI following an injury to Carles Puyol that pulled Sergio Ramos in from the right and he has had a mixed tournament despite playing every minute for Spain. Usually defensively sound enough, Arbeloa had a tough evening in the semi-final against Portugal when faced with attempting to contain club-mates Cristiano Ronaldo and Fabio Coentrao.
CB: Gerard Pique - 8
Another ever-present, Pique has been at his classy best at Euro 2012, combining expert defending with genuine ability on the ball. Though Antonio Di Natale posed him a few problems in Spain's opening game against Italy, Pique's signature performance was dulling the threat posed by Cristiano Ronaldo in the penalty shoot-out win over Portugal in the semi-final.
CB: Sergio Ramos - 9
Was expected to perform at right-back in Poland and Ukraine but following an injury to Puyol has struck up a superb partnership with Pique. Ramos has been arguably the best centre-back at the tournament and the way he helped nullify Ronaldo in the semi-final was a masterpiece of athleticism and anticipation. The Real Madrid defender also had the audacity to chip home a Panenka penalty in the shoot-out, demonstrating his burgeoning confidence following a fine run of form.
LB: Jordi Alba - 9
One of the revelations of the tournament. Alba had only won five caps for Spain prior to the start of the finals but his energetic performances down the left have been a key feature of their success to date. Alba has combined well with Iniesta and has brought penetration and energy to a Spain side that is otherwise focused on mesmeric passing. It was no surprise to learn he has earned a move to Barcelona from Valencia.
CM: Sergio Busquets - 7
Performs a crucial role for Spain as he looks to destroy while his more coveted team-mates create. That may be a bit of a generalisation, as Busquets is also a passer of some repute himself, but the Barcelona star is generally happy to let others take the limelight. His unfussy displays - characterised by important interceptions and high-tempo pressing - have helped Spain to dominate game after game after game.
CM: Xavi - 8
The global master of passing is yet to pick up an assist at these finals and there is an argument that Xavi has been a touch below his best, after all it was the Barcelona midfielder who was surprisingly sacrificed by Del Bosque when Spain brought on Jesus Navas just before the onset of extra time against Portugal. However, Xavi has of course been key in imposing Spain's tiki-taka, his 136 passes against Ireland setting a new record for the European Championship, and even when not at his peak he remains a class apart.
CM: Xabi Alonso - 8
Alonso has performed with class and composure alongside Xavi in a deep position and settled the quarter-final against France with two goals on his 100th international appearance. It is not often that Alonso's work overshadows that of Xavi but his match-winning performance against France did just that.
AM: Andres Iniesta - 9
Simply sublime. Iniesta has been surpassed by only Andrea Pirlo at these finals and has been largely untouchable for Spain. His faultless use of the ball has allowed la Roja to dominate their opponents at almost every turn, while his assist for Navas against Croatia proved crucial in a tense contest. Whether operating off the left or through the centre, Iniesta has been the nerve centre of Spain's passing game.
AM: Cesc Fabregas - 7
Has flitted in and out of the team with Del Bosque failing to make up his mind over whether to play Fabregas as a false nine or Torres or Negredo as a more conventional striker. Fabregas has performed the role well when required, scoring against both Spain and Ireland in the group stage as well as helping to create the goal against Croatia when dropping off the front. His fluid movement and clever link-up play has been an asset when faced with sides intent on stifling Spain.
AM: David Silva - 8
Silva started the finals at a canter, claiming three assists and a goal in Spain's opening two games, but has tailed off a touch, his performance in the semi-final against Portugal coming as a disappointment. Is vulnerable to an early departure if Spain are struggling to break opponents down but generally the Manchester City star has been in excellent form, his movement and use of the ball essential to Spain's attacking strategy.

ITALY
Manager: Cesare Prandelli - 9
The former Fiorentina boss has been the most tactically diverse of any coach at Euro 2012, starting out with a back three and then switching to a back four for the final group game against Ireland. The way he steered Italy past England and Germany in the knockout stages, playing ambitious, positive football, was hugely impressive. Prandelli has brought the best out of players such as Mario Balotelli while coping with injury problems in defence and has been the best coach at the tournament.
GK: Gianluigi Buffon - 8
A near faultless tournament for the man who, along with Sunday's opponent, is one of the globe's very best goalkeepers. Buffon has conceded only three goals in five games and Italy rely heavily on his authority and extreme ability in the penalty area.
RB: Ignazio Abate - 7
Came in to face Ireland for the final group game in place of the more attacking Christian Maggio as Prandelli switched to a back four and was very impressive in the quarter-final victory over England. He missed the semi-final against Germany due to injury but is expected to return as Italy look to shackle Andres Iniesta.
CB: Andrea Barzagli - 7
Returned from injury to play against Ireland and has been a calming presence in the knockout stages. Barzagli, a title-winner with Juventus, is a certain pick whether Italy play with a back three or a back four, as they are expected to do against Spain.
CB: Leonardo Bonucci - 8
His place seemed in doubt prior to the tournament when he was linked with the match-fixing investigation gripping Italian football, but the Juve defender has had an impressive campaign. He was dropped against Ireland as Barzagli returned to the side but then came on as a substitute for the injured Chiellini and has kept his place ever since, his form forcing Chiellini to move to left-back. Bonucci made a number of important tackles in the first two group games and has grown as the tournament has progressed.
LB: Giorgio Chiellini - 7
Returned from injury for the semi-final victory over Germany and is expected to be deployed at left-back again as he offers a more commanding defensive presence than Federico Balzaretti. Chiellini is a beast of a defender and has been a key component of a well-functioning and flexible Italy defence.
DM: Daniele De Rossi - 9
Was shunted into an unfamiliar defensive role for the first game against Spain but coped superbly with the challenge of keeping out world football's most talented side. The Roma vice-captain has been in fine form for the Azzurri and slotted naturally back into midfield for the final group game, where he has remained ever since. His snappy tackling and sharp passing has been a prominent feature of Italy's play.
CM: Claudio Marchisio - 7
His versatility makes him an asset across midfield and the Juventus star has played to a good level at Euro 2012. Marchisio has demonstrated in Poland and Ukraine he has an eye for goal but is yet to register on the scoresheet. It is his energy and application, whether in attacking or defensive phases, that has been impressive, as well as the way he helps bring the best out of Pirlo.
CM: Andrea Pirlo - 10
The player of the tournament so far. Pirlo's performance against a daunting Spain midfield in Italy's first game was sublime as he created Antonio Di Natale's opener with a glorious run and pass. Pirlo then curled home a free kick against Croatia and continued to provide a threat from set-pieces against Ireland. His wonderful movement, vision and passing ability overwhelmed England and he excelled again in the semi-final victory over Germany. Peerless.
CM: Riccardo Montolivo - 7
Montolivo made his first start of Euro 2012 in the quarter-final against England and impressed in an advanced role behind the strikers. He has the ability to open up a defence with a cute pass and is a threat when moving between the lines. It was his pass over the top that set Mario Balotelli away for his second goal against Germany.
ST: Antonio Cassano - 8
Impressed with his creative play against both Spain and Croatia and scored Italy's opening goal in their group win over Ireland. The Milan forward's participation in the tournament was in grave doubt when he required heart surgery in November but he has always been a favourite of Prandelli and is rewarding the coach with some vibrant performances, not least when teeing up Balotelli for the opening goal against Germany.
ST: Mario Balotelli - 8
Made an indelible mark on the tournament with his two goals against Germany and also scored a fine effort in the group stage against Ireland. Balotelli had actually lost his starting place to Antonio Di Natale for the Ireland game but his superior link-up play with Cassano in attack has seen him installed as Prandelli's leading striker.

MNYIKA ATOLEWA BUNGENI LEO

WELBECK SENDS SWEDEN HOME!

The super sub Theo Walcott at 64 minutes scored a second goal for England which then lead to 2-2 goals for England against Sweden. The Liverpool striker Andy Carrol sent England into a first half lead with a powerful header at first 23 minutes. Sweden however improved dramatically after the break and after Glen Johnson failed in his attempt to keep Olof Mellberg's finish out, the Olympiakos defender headed home a second to put Erik Hamren's team in front.
The 23-year old darted in between two Sweden defenders before lifting a precise cross into Welbeck who got in front of his marker before beating Isaksson with a sublime flick with his heel.
Welbeck's winner ensured Sweden's departure from the competition with one group game, against France, still to play, but England march on and they will enter their final first round fixture against Ukraine requiring only a draw to move on.

Spain 4-0 Ireland: Torres leads procession as Trapattoni’s men are eliminated

Republic of Ireland are heading home from Poland and Ukraine after a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Spain in a Euro 2012 Group C encounter in the PGE Arena in Gdansk on Thursday evening.
Fernando Torres, omitted from the starting lineup in the first match, scored a brace and David Silva and Cesc Fabregas each bagged a goal in a match that saw total Spanish domination from start to finish.
Each side had made just one change from its previous Group C match, with Torres and Simon Cox being introduced to the action in place of Fabregas and Kevin Doyle, and it was the two strikers who made an immediate impression at the start of the match.
Cox tested the gloves of Iker Casillas in the first minute of the game with a well-struck shot from the edge of the area that was competently saved by the Spain captain. Torres did one better and gave the holders the lead just four minutes into the match, providing the nightmare start the Irish had feared.
The Chelsea man pounced on some uncertain defending on the edge of the box from Richard Dunne to drive through into the box and smash a vicious strike past Shay Given from the right-hand side of the goal, giving La Roja an early lead.
With Vicente del Bosque’s side camped outside the Irish box for the majority of the first 45 minutes, Given was forced into making a couple of decent saves from long-range shots, but the Aston Villa goalkeeper remained solid to deny strikes from Xavi , Gerard Pique, and Andres Iniesta from outside the area.
Spain went through the first half in total domination of possession, with Xabi Alonso and Xavi controlling the match in central areas. However, the comfortable nature of its play somewhat lacked a cut-throat mentality, which kept the difference between the sides at just one goal heading into the break.
Del Bosque’s half time team talk seemed to induce confidence in the world champions, as it managed to double its lead just four minutes into the second period when the Irish shot themselves in the foot again with some sloppy defending. Silva latched on to a poor Given punch inside the penalty area and coolly passed the ball through the legs of Richard Dunne into the corner, giving Trapattoni’s men a mountain to climb.
Halfway through the second half Ireland began to look more of a threat, with substitute Jon Walters providing a decent physical presence in the box. However, as they pushed forward in an attempt to claw a goal back, Spain looked dangerous on the counterattack, which ultimately led to their third goal of the match.
Silva pounced on a lackadaisical touch from Aiden McGeady inside the center circle and slipped a pass through the middle for Torres, who confidently strutted forward and curled a shot into the right corner.
Fabregas heaped on the misery for Ireland in the 82nd minute after drifting into the area from the right and unleashing a thunderous strike off the corner past Given.
Spain now heads in to the last match on Sunday against Croatia in pole position to qualify from Group C as group winners. Republic of Ireland take on Italy as Trapattoni’s men aim to generate some pride in their last match of Euro 2012.

Di Matteo confirmed as Chelsea boss

Di Matteo has installed as a caretaker manager after the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas part way through last season, but became a fan favorite for the permanent job after winning the double during his short time in charge.
“Roberto’s quality was clear for all to see when he galvanized the squad last season and helped the club make history, and the owner and board are very pleased he will be continuing his good work,” Chelsea’s chief executive, Ron Gourlay, told the club’s official website. “We all believed he was a young coach with much to offer when we first asked him to take charge of team affairs in March and the manner in which he worked with us, the players and all the staff, and the success that followed, made him the clear choice when it came to selecting the person to take us forward in the seasons to come.
“We will be working closely with Roberto in the weeks ahead, some exciting signings have already been made and Roberto has had input into those. Although he has set the bar very high in the short time he has been in charge, we know that Roberto is the right man to lead Chelsea onto further success.”
Di Matteo was also pleased to have been given the role but is focusing on next season instead of looking back at his achievements with the club in the previous campaign.
“I’m obviously delighted to have been appointed as manager and first team coach,” he said. “We all achieved incredible success last season that made history for this great club. Our aim is to continue building on that and I’m already planning and looking forward to the squad’s return for preseason.”
